With the recent opening of London’s most anticipated heritage attraction, we are excited to offer Patrons of Fulham Palace the opportunity to join a group tour of The Postal Museum which will explore and reveal the fascinating stories of the world’s first social network – the post – and how it has kept us all in touch for more than 500 years. We have been told not to expect the obvious!

The tour will visit the museum’s galleries and take a journey through five centuries of world-class curiosities, providing a different, previously unseen view on some of the world’s most significant historical events, and an insight into the quirky beginnings of the earliest social network. Included in the tour will be a ride deep underground into the old engineering depot of Mail Rail, which up until recently, has remained hidden from public view. The Post Office railway is one hundred years old and is little-known, making this tour even more exciting. The miniature train will take us through the narrow subterranean tunnels stopping at the original Mount Pleasant station platforms for an impressive audio visual display which will provide a real insight into the heyday of the railway.

The visit will begin at 11am. Tickets are £25 per person including booking fee.
